Ikari III: The Rescue (also known as Ikari Warriors III: The Rescue), known simply as Ikari III (怒Ⅲ) in Japan, is an arcade run & gun shoot 'em up.It was ported to the NES, DOS, and C64.It is the third and final installment of the Ikari Warriors series after Ikari Warriors, and Victory Road.The NES version was showcased in the 1991 CES. Rotary Joystick: The rotary joystick serves two simultaneous purposes. The joystick can be pushed in any one of eight direction to direct the players to move in.
DescriptionHere’s a Ikari Warriors Arcade game for sale. Colonel Ralf and Second Lieutenant Clark must battle their way to the village of Ikari in this run and gun classic. Released by SNK in 1986, the Ikari Warriors arcade game was the company’s first real breakthrough in the North American arcade market. It’s use of rotary joysticks and two-player mode as well as it’s Rambo-like theme made it extremely popular in arcades. Players play Ralf and Clark who must cooperate to evade enemy tanks, soldiers, and helicopters in their mission to reach Ikari. Players may commandeer enemy tanks to help advance their position. Ikari Warriors was the first game to put limits on how much ammunition each player could use before reloading.
This classic arcade comes retrofitted in a conversion cabinet with a 19 inch CRT monitor and control panel overlay and marquee artwork. We can also upgrade the monitor to a 19 inch LCD for an additional $250!

I was a bit let down by no online play because I feel Super Blood Hockey would’ve benefited from it nicely. Thankfully though this wasn’t too much of a problem in the end because there is a solid selection of modes for you to play and fighting is fun even if a little bit more depth would’ve been nice. Removed ROM patches, simulated 'hard flags' behaviour, oroper memory maps, fixed color test in clone (Japan). Fixed inputs and added DIP locations etc. Removed NOCOCKTAIL flag since the game don't have a flip screen dipswitch. This fixes the title and high score screen do not have a black background, as MAME displays.
