For level 6 there's a lot of hazards, so need to run. The tank isn't too bad if you get to it with a couple of lives. I don't remember all the ins-and-outs of it, but i believe your move list doesn't change at all. But the song upgrades stack, so you can upgrade attack power, different kinds of attacks, defence etc. You don't need to replay levels but you can revisit levels to go to the shop to upgrade magic and whatnot if you want. It tells you if there is a shop for each level on the stage select screen. There's one on level 5, so you could consider that.I'd say just run, run/jump and jump heavy attack to arch your leg up and gain more height for the tank etc.
